9U - SCBA Finalists
Our 8U and 9U teams travelled to Aylmer this past weekend to compete in the SCBA Championships, and our 9U team came home as Finalists!
With 7 teams participating in this double elimination tournament, there was some tough competition, but our teams took on the challenge!
Our 8U team started the tournament on Friday night against Tillsonburg and battled it out, winning the game 13-12.
Saturday morning saw the 8U and 9U teams go head-to-head, with the 9U team pulling out a decisive 18-0 win. In the afternoon, the 9U team kept the momentum going with a 12-2 win over Caledonia. Additionally, the 8U team rallied back, winning 11-4 over Aylmer, before falling 13-5 to Port Dover, which ended their tournament run.
On Sunday, the 9U team took on Caledonia, once again, but the Bears proved to be formidable opponents, as they took the game with a 22-16 win.
Having to play again, the game was a must-win for both teams and, unfortunately, a late score cost the Giants, as Caledonia won 11-6.
Congrats to both teams for a great tournament, and a big congratulations to our 9U team for ending the season as SCBA Finalists!
